Trusting in God!
I know and believe that trusting in Him is the only way! So often though I give my stuff, wants desires and needs over to God and then take it back. Wanting to fix it myself or trying to help it along myself.
My relationship with God has changed so much in the last year that I can hear Him tell me...Mindy you gave this to me, remember? Or, Mindy give it back to me...I've got this.
Sometimes with trust comes patience and the ability to WAIT! It is all in God's timing. He knows what is right for me and when it will be right for me. So why does all this trust, patience and waiting get so hard sometimes? I think for me it is because we live in a fast paced world where we all want it now! God's timing is not always now...
Last week I had an opportunity arise and thought why not! So I prayed for God's will. For what is best for me, my family and the establishment. I even found myself praying for the other person if it wasn't God's will for me. My praying life has moved and changed in the last year too! Loving it!
In that situation I have been waiting for God and for a call. I am so impatient and God is working on me with this and it is a slow process. This has been good for me this last week. Though I want to know now...He keeps telling me trust me and wait for me.
Here are some verses He showed me today:
Psalm 27:14 ~ Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Psalm 28:7 ~ The Lord is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts, and I am helped; my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.
Psalm 31:14 ~ But I trust in you, O Lord; I say "You are my God".
Psalm 37:5 ~ Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.
Father,
I love you! I love that you love me enough to continue to shape me into who you want me to be. Father, forgive me for taking this situation back again. I trust that you know what is best for me and my family. Lord, I will wait patiently and try my hardest not to take it back this time.
Amen
God is the potter and we are His clay. He molds us and shapes us into His image. I really needed a place to journal the things that God shows me through the Bible, Bible Studies, worship music, and people. I hope that using this blog as my journal will help me. Come look inside my relationship with the Lord!!!

Righteousness
So I wasn't sure what to make my first post about. After putting some thought into it I realized that I shouldn't be thinking about it. I should be letting God lead me. So here it goes!!!!
During part of my quiet time this week I was reading in my Experiencing God by Henry Blackaby Devotional and God really spoke to me. To be honest, it has not left my mind since that day (7/1/12).
** Romans 6:18 - And having been liberated from sin, you become enslaved to righteousness.
He talks about how before we were Christians we were in bondage to sin! Through the blood of Jesus we are no longer in bondage to that sin! Amen, right! Thank you Jesus!
Now we are enslaved to God and His righteousness! Wow right. That is a tall order, but at the same time what an amazing and wonderful thing to be enslaved to!
I just want share a few quotes from Henry that really spoke to me: Let God Lead You!
"Righteous living is not an option for a Christian."
"Nor is is something we must try to do over time."
"It is an obligation, mandatory for every child of God."
"Our freedom in Christ is not freedom to do what we want."
"It is freedom to live righteously, something we could not do when we were in bondage to sin."
My favorite of all those quotes from his devotional is the one in bold! It reminds me that He calls us to be righteous now not later and that it is not a choice. Seek Him! Listen to Him! He will show and teach you through his Holy Spirit!

Father,
Thank you so much for this devotional and for using Henry and thoughts with me. Lord, I pray that this would continue to run through my mind daily. That I would remember that living righteously is not something that I choose to do on a daily basis, but that it would be apart of me consume me. That living like that would not come second nature, but be first. Lord, lead me in this. Teach me!
Amen!
